FoM Postdoctoral Fellow Peer-to-Peer Workshop Series – Call for Proposals

The Faculty of Medicine (FoM) Graduate and Postdoctoral Education (GPE) Office has developed the FoM Postdoctoral Fellow Peer-to-Peer Workshop Series in order to provide more teaching opportunities for PDFs while simultaneously facilitating PDF-directed professionalization activities and peer-to-peer interaction.

We are currently soliciting proposals from any interested FoM PDF to develop and lead a two- to three- hour workshop for their PDF peers on topics that have cross-disciplinary appeal and relevance. Professionalization workshops are particularly encouraged.

Successful applicants will receive a $500 honorarium. We expect to fund up to four workshops this application period.

Eligibility: Only UBC Faculty of Medicine Postdoctoral Fellows may apply, and their hiring status with UBC must be active at the time of the workshop offering.

Deadlines: All proposals will be reviewed by the GPE Office and results of the competition will be made known within two weeks of the deadline, which is scheduled for: Monday, December 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM PDT. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to the GPE Office to make a short pitch about their workshop.

To apply: Applications currently closed.

Please note that the 2019-20 academic year is the pilot year for this Workshop Series. If it is successful, then each August the GPE Office will circulate a call for proposals to FoM Postdoctoral Fellows to submit a Peer-to-Peer Workshop (to help you plan in case you have an idea over the year).
