The Faculty of Medicine is home to almost 1,700 graduate students in 28 graduate programs (12 of which confer doctoral degrees), and roughly 300 postdoctoral fellows located at the Faculty’s Departments, Schools, Centres, Institutes, and affiliated hospital sites.

Our research-based programs provide opportunities for training in subjects ranging from the diversity of basic biomedical sciences to clinical and health services research, and at all geographic sites, including our affiliated hospitals and institutes. Graduate programs are also offered for the professions of audiology, genetic counselling, health administration, health sciences, occupational and environmental hygiene, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health, and speech-language pathology.

Graduate programs at UBC are administered by the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies. The Faculty of Medicine Graduate and Postdoctoral Education office works closely with this group and with each program office to maintain and improve the high quality of graduate training.
