Simran Gill is the PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Christine Voss. Her research focuses on Type 1 diabetes (T1D) in children which is one of the most common chronic conditions. Children with T1D face challenges being active due to fear of hypoglycemia (alarmingly low blood sugar levels). Her project will run a virtual regular physical activity program to increase activity in children with T1D for better blood sugar control.
