Dr. Janssen is working under the supervision of Dr. Matthew Lorincz and studies how mutations in different epigenetic enzymes are associated with similar intellectual developmental syndromes. Dr. Janssen’s research project aims to identify commonality, either in the epigenetic landscape or in gene expression, that may explain the phenotypic similarities observed for the different intellectual developmental syndromes.
