Travel Funding

2020 Global Health Trainee Grant

The Centre for International Child Health and the Medical Staff Association at BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital are once again offering $1,000 grants to support trainees in the health professions who are engaged in global health electives as part of their clinical training. Candidates must be registered as a resident or fellow in a postgraduate medical training program, or be a student in a British Columbia professional training program, which includes any health care discipline that leads to a professional designation. Friedman Award for Scholars in Health

The goal of the Friedman Award for Scholars in Health program is to provide funding to UBC graduate students and UBC medical residents so that they can pursue a learning opportunity to further their career or to bring new perspectives to the education they have already received. Each year, two to four scholarships of $25,000 to $50,000 each will be awarded for six or more months of study abroad.

Mitacs Globalink Partnership Award

The Mitacs Globalink Partnership Award program supports graduate students at Canadian universities in developing research collaborations with international industry partners.

Mitacs Globalink Research Award

The Mitacs Globalink Research Award program supports graduate students at Canadian universities in their pursuit of creating research collaborations between Canada and their partner countries: Brazil, China, France, India, Korea, Mexico, and Tunisia.

China Scholarship Counsel

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is very pleased to receive applications from excellent Chinese students who will be applying for China Scholarship Council (CSC) doctoral scholarships. UBC is one of the world’s top universities with outstanding research facilities and faculty mentors.
