Virtual Coffee Chats

We know that student life has been significantly disrupted by COVID-19, and want to ensure students have somewhere to come for help in navigating this uncertain time. To this end, the Graduate & Postdoctoral Education Office is introducing wellbeing-focused Virtual Coffee Chats: one-on-one, confidential conversations with Dr. Karen Ross, our Wellbeing Support Coordinator (Mondays/Fridays). If you are experiencing difficulties in any part of your life—academic, financial, emotional, practical, family—Karen can help you connect with the support and resources you need. If she doesn’t know the answer to your questions, she will work with you to find answers together. She also welcomes students who would like to share ideas, feedback, or requests related to graduate student wellbeing.

Please note that these coffee chats are not a counselling service, but can be used to discuss options for counselling support. Your program director/advisor can also be an excellent resource.
